ABOUT US

We are Singapore's youth-powered STEM access network

Astra builds the programmes, systems and support that enable student-led school Chapters to bring high-quality, hands-on STEM experiences into their communities. Each Chapter builds on a shared system, so good programmes can improve and spread instead of being rebuilt from scratch.

Frequently asked questions

Astra Chapters are led by students who want to build a team in their school and bring Astra programmes into their community. A new Chapter starts with a Chapter Lead and at least two facilitators, then goes through Astra’s onboarding and readiness process before delivering independently.

Astra Core provides the shared programmes, training, standards, equipment guidance, partner support and central infrastructure Chapters need to operate. Chapters lead their own local teams and delivery rather than having to build everything from scratch.

Applications for the 2027 Chapter Intake are now open, with onboarding planned for December 2026. Astra takes on a limited number of new Chapters at a time so each team can receive the preparation and support needed before delivery.

We work with organisations that can help create meaningful STEM opportunities for children — particularly through beneficiary access, programme opportunities, venues, equipment, funding or relevant expertise. Partnerships are shaped around what is genuinely useful to the communities involved.

If you want to build Astra in your school, start with Start a Chapter. If you represent an organisation interested in working with Astra, use Partner with Astra.
